Availability Detail Panel

When you select an A or Available cell from the Employee, Scheduled Team or Schedule Period views, the Schedule Details panel becomes the Availability Detail panel. The following changes occur within the panel:

  • The Apply button is disabled and the Save as New button becomes the Assign Shift button.
  • After entering availability details such as team, job, start/end time, and so on, clicking Assign Shift schedules the employee. The Availability Detail panel becomes the Schedule Details panel again, refreshed with the employee’s new assignment information, all buttons and functionality returned to their normal Schedule Detail state.

You should ideally schedule employees to a shift by selecting an unstaffed shift. This reduces the number of unstaffed shifts and obtains the best-suited employee for the requirement.

Working in the Availability Detail panel does not change the employee’s availability. Availability can only be changed by using the Availability Management or RTSS modules.
