Publishing shifts with on-call time to the timesheet

You can publish shifts with on-call time to the timesheet.

Example: Publishing shift with on-call time

An employee is scheduled in MVS with 7:00 to 19:00 on-call time. While on-call, the employee is not scheduled with any work time.

When the employee's on-call shift is published to the timesheet, then the 7:00 to 19:00 shift detail is available in the employee schedule detail.

Example: Publishing shift with on-call, work, and break time

An employee is scheduled in MVS with 7:00 to 19:00 on-call time (ONCALL). While on-call, the employee is also scheduled with 9:00 to 17:00 work time (WRK). The employee is also given a meal break (BRK) from 13:00 to 13:30.

When the employee's on-call shift is published to the timesheet, then this information is available in the schedule detail of the day:

  • 7:00 to 9:00 ONCALL
  • 9:00 to 13:00 WRK
  • 13:00 to 13:30 MEAL
  • 13:30 to 17:00 WRK
  • 17:00 to 19:00 ONCALL
Note: The original scheduled on-call time from 7:00 to 19:00 is saved in the system. This information can be used by the Guarantees Plus Rule to trigger the necessary pay premium for employees that are paid for their full on-call time, regardless of whether they work during the on-call time. See Compensating on-call employees.
