Deleting rows

Rows can be deleted in a Master Rotation (MR) or One-time Schedule (OTS). This can useful to remove rows that were added by mistake or to account for reductions in staff due to organizational changes.

Deleting rows in MRs

In an MR in DRAFT status, deleting a row removes the row for the entire schedule period. After an MR has been activated, rows can be deleted through row edit mode. This deactivates any active versions of the row and removes the shifts starting on the specified effective date. If the MR was previously published, re-publishing the MR deletes shifts on deleted rows after the specified effective date.

Deleting rows in OTS schedules and OTS templates

In an OTS schedule, deleting a row removes the row for the entire schedule period. In an OTS schedule that is not created from an OTS template, any row can be deleted until the schedule is processed. After a schedule is processed, rows that do not contain any published shifts can be deleted.

Rows in an OTS schedule that are based on rows in a source OTS template cannot be deleted. Manually added rows have no association to the source OTS template, so they can be deleted as long as they do not contain any published shifts.

Rows can be deleted on an OTS template in row editing mode. This removes the row from any future OTS schedules that are created from the OTS template. When deleting OTS template rows, the effective date must be after the end date of the latest processed OTS schedule that is based on the OTS template.
