Prompting for meal confirmation when employees clock off

You can configure mobility to prompt employees to confirm that they took their scheduled meal break at the end of their shift. If meal confirmation is enabled, a prompt will be presented to eligible employees during OFF clock transactions.

Note: Other clock types such as ON, time code, and project do not trigger the meal confirmation prompt. Since WFM does not know if a directionless clock is an ON clock or an OFF clock until it is processed, directionless clocking is not supported.

When an OFF clock is recorded by an employee prompted to confirm their meal, the clock includes an extra MEAL token indicating the employee's response to the prompt. The Meal Confirmation Pay Rule checks for the presence of the MEAL token. When an employee indicates that they did not take their scheduled meal breaks, the rule can be configured to remove the meal breaks by updating the relevant work details.

See "Meal Confirmation Pay Rule" in the Infor Workforce Management Time and Attendance Implementation and Administration Guide.

Attesting to individual meals or breaks within a single, unbroken shift is not supported. For example, an employee working a 16-hour shift who only clocks ON and OFF once cannot attest that they missed some of their meals or breaks. They can only confirm, at the end of their shift, whether they took all of their expected meals and breaks. Confirmation of multiple breaks is supported in the case of multiple OFF clocks within a shift or multiple shifts separated by a GAP (or similar) time code.

To localize the text of the meal confirmation prompt, modify the value of the MOB_MEAL_CONFIRMATION_MSG message, which is found under the Mobility domain. See Modifying mobility messages.
