Changing the order of widgets on the homepage

You can reorder the widgets on the homepage, so that users have access to the most important widgets first. This order is applied globally, so it will apply to all users. On the phone view, the widgets are displayed top to bottom; on the tablet view, the widgets are displayed left to right. All of the widgets can take any spot in the display order.

By default, the widgets are displayed in this order:

  1. My Staff
  2. Clock Status
  3. My Messages
  4. My Schedule
Note: Users can only see the widgets that they have access to. For example, using the default ordering, if a user does not have access to the Clock Status widget, the My Messages widget will be displayed in its place.

To change the order of widgets on the homepage:

  1. In the desktop application, select Maintenance > System Administration > Maintenance Forms.
  2. Click Edit beside the maintenance form that corresponds to the widget you want to reorder:
    • My Staff: MOB_HOME_STAFF
    • Clock Status: MOB_HOME_CLOCKS
    • My Messages: MOB_HOME_WORKMAIL
    • My Schedule: MOB_HOME_SCHEDULE
  3. Specify the relative position of the widget in the Menu Sort Order field. The widget with the lowest number is displayed first, so specify 1 for the widget that you want to display first, 2 for the widget that you want to display second, and so on.
    Although not recommended, negative numbers and 0 will also work for the sort order, with the lowest number determining the widget that is shown first. If the same number is used for multiple widgets, the default sort order is used to display the widgets that do not have a unique value.
  4. Click Save.
  5. Click Return to form listing.
  6. Repeat the previous steps until you have specified the relative positioning of all the widgets.
  7. Clear the Workforce Management cache from the console for the changes to take effect.
