Key Components

These components are used with distributions:

Name
The unique name for the distribution.
Description
A brief description of the distribution.
Location
The specific location to which the distribution applies. The distribution also applies to the location’s decedents.
Interval

The interval over which the distribution is spread: 15, 30 or 60 minutes.

Method

The distribution method that indicates how the distribution is generated.

Currently, you can only use the Configuration Editor to create distributions using the automatic method, where the application continuously and automatically regenerates the distribution for each forecast based on the previous eight weeks of normal sales for the given day.

Mode

A mode for the distribution:

  • Normal - works with the traffic pattern normally so that the highest amount of the volume indicator receives the highest amount of staff. (Enables you to distribute workload for tasks during peak hours.)

  • Inverse - works with the traffic pattern inversely so that the highest amounts become the lowest and the lowest amounts become the highest. (Enables you to distribute workload for tasks during off-peak hours.)

Distribution Type
A unique distribution type (within your store and hierarchy) for the distribution, which indicates how the distribution is aggregated.
