Using Auto-Assignment for Schedule Optimization

Schedule optimization can create schedules using the Auto-Assignment model. The Auto-Assignment model provides a streamlined configuration process that gives greater control over the rules that govern schedule creation. Each rule can be set as a preference, constraint, or hard constraint, which are never broken under any circumstances. Similar to the previous Staff Groups model, the Auto-Assignment model attempts to create an optimized schedule by automatically generating shifts and assigning them to available employees. The new model also optimizes additional aspects of the schedule, such as the timing of breaks.

One or more Auto-Assignment groups must be created to use the Auto-Assignment model to create schedules. See the Infor Workforce Management Auto-Assignment Implementation Guide for details.

At this time, the Auto-Assignment model supports a sub-set of the functionality supported in LFSO. Auto-Assignment may be suitable for new customers that can satisfy their scheduling needs using the current Auto-Assignment rule set. It is recommended to consult the Infor Workforce Management Auto-Assignment Implementation Guide to determine how Auto-Assignment would support your scheduling requirements.
