Auto-Publishing and ELaB
Once a schedule has been published within the application, auto-publishing is enabled. Auto-publish functionality enables schedules and shifts to be published automatically if scheduling violations are corrected or approved.
Publishing is tied to a schedule and the shifts that belong to that schedule. Shifts that are external to a schedule (for example, shifts scheduled in the borrow location) will not be published if they are in an unpublished state.
A single warning or violation can span multiple shifts, such as Max Hours Per Week. ELaB allows these warnings or violations to spread across multiple locations. If the schedule contains shifts that contribute to the warning or error, then changing, approving a warning, or correcting a violation, can affect multiple schedules. Multiple schedules are affected because shifts can be auto-published across locations.
The home and borrow managers are responsible for violations that occur against an ELaB employee during the schedule period in which the employee is borrowed. Both managers should coordinate with each other on approving or correcting violations against an ELaB employee.
Managers of schedules containing a shared employee should not edit the schedules (including approving violations) for the ELaB employee at the same time.
