Changing the Admin Console user ID, password, and session timeout for WBCS

Using this procedure you can use Admin Console to update any of the following configuration settings for WBCS: user ID, password, and session timeout. After changing the user ID or password, you will be prompted to log in again with the new credentials.

To update the settings using Admin Console:

  1. Connect to the WBCS using Admin Console. For more information on how to do this, see Using Administration Console to connect to WBCS.
  2. Navigate to the Settings tab and expand the Security node which contains these configurations:
    adminconsole.userid
    User ID for the Admin Console connection to WBCS.
    adminconsole.password
    Password for the Admin Console connection to WBCS.
    adminconsole.session.timeout
    Session timeout in minutes for the Admin Console connection to WBCS.
  3. To change one of these configuration settings, right click the setting in Admin Console and select Modify Value.
  4. Specify a new value for the setting and click OK to change the value.
  5. Select Update Server to save the change.
    If you modify the user ID or password you will be prompted to log in to Admin Console again and provide the new credentials.
