Upgrade for Windows

To upgrade the WBCS installed on the Windows platform:

  1. Stop the clock server service on the computer running the Clock Server.
  2. Select Administrative Tools > Services.
  3. Click on the clock server’s service name. The default is ClockServer .
  4. Select Action > Stop
  5. Ensure the Status is not Started.
  6. Download the latest setup file from the system using wbcs_setup_*.exe.
  7. Launch the installation file.
  8. Select Upgrade.
  9. Click Next. The installer begins the upgrade of WBCS. The upgrade replaces the existing .jar files with updated versions, but does not modify any other files or the HTML Clock.
  10. Click Done. New settings introduced in product releases are not automatically included in the upgrade. To determine which new settings you want to use, refer to the Infor Workforce Management Release Notes.
  11. Launch the Admin Console and connect to the WBCS.
  12. Click the Settings tab.
  13. Right-click on any setting.
  14. Select New Setting.
  15. Copy the setting from the release notes. Copy everything to the left of the = sign and paste the copied information into the Key field.
  16. Copy the value from the release notes. Copy everything to the right of the = sign and paste the copied information into the Value field.
  17. Click OK. The setting is added to the file and is displayed in the appropriate branch in the Admin Console, not necessarily the branch from which you selected New Setting.
  18. Click Upload Server to have the WBCS load the new changes.
  19. Ensure the ClockServer service’s Status is Started. If the service is not started, select Action > Start..
