Generating a Plan for a Newly Opened Location

If you are using the location for a newly opened store, you must copy the historical data (LY Actuals and TY Actuals) from a different location with similar attributes to the new location. Similar attributes mean similar properties such as a location with the same demographic concentration in the neighborhood. Using a location with similar attributes ensures that the store profile that you are copying matches closely with the new store. This kind of location ensures the generated data is close to the real data. The application does not identify these store attributes for you.

Where the sales for a certain location is zero because of special circumstances, the application uses 0 as the actuals for the forecast. If you want to change the sales numbers to generate the plan for the next year, you must update the historical data in the database.
