Setting Up Location Types for the Solicitation Process

You can exclude locations of one or more specific location types from the solicitation process for either budgets, forecasts, or both. Companies may choose to exclude all locations of certain location types if, for example, they want to solicit feedback only from store budget managers and not from budget managers of other locations. By default, all location types except DEPARTMENT are included in the solicitation process. The DEPARTMENT location cannot be included in the solicitation process.

Excluding a location type from the solicitation process automatically prevents all budget managers of those locations from editing the Worksheet. However, they can still view the Worksheet and receive related notifications.

Before you can exclude location types from the solicitation process, you must display the appropriate area on the Labor Budgeting Location Types Detail page.
