Hour Distribution

Hours are distributed according to a distribution factor that is calculated as the adjusted value divided by the original value.

For example, if:

  • Parent original hours = 3000
  • Parent adjusted hours = 5000

Then, the distribution factor is calculated using the following formula:

  • Distribution factor = parent Adjusted Hours / parent Budget Hours
  • = 5000/3000
  • = 1.66666667
  • This factor is then applied to all the child locations.

Suppose that the child-location hours are:

  • Child 1 = 1200
  • Child 2 = 1800

After applying the distribution factor:

  • Child 1 = 1200 * 1.66666667= 2000
  • Child 2 = 1800 * 1.66666667 = 3000
