Setting Up Additional Mass-Edit Options

By default, mass-editing values on the Worksheet enables you to simultaneously modify values in the same column for multiple locations by the same percentage. You can also configure the application to enable mass-editing of Worksheet data using numerical values, as described below. See “Mass-Editing Data on the Worksheet” on page 260.

By default, the additional mass-edit options support edited results that are negative numbers on the Worksheet. You use the MASS_EDIT_BY_VALUE_REDUCTION_MODE registry parameter to determine how to treat values that would be reduced to negative numbers on the Worksheet. See the Infor WFM Registry Parameter Reference Guide.

  1. Log into the application as a user with permission to view the Mass Edit button on the Worksheet.
    By default, this is the budget manager of the CORPORATE location. See “Mass-Editing Permissions” on page 261.
  2. Turn on Config mode.
  3. Select Maintenance > Optional Modules > Labor Budgeting > Labor Budgeting Worksheet.
  4. Select a layout, time periods, and locations and click Update View. See “Displaying the Worksheet” on page 206.
    The Worksheet is displayed.
  5. Click Mass Edit.
    The Mass-Edit Criteria pop-up window is displayed.
  6. Click the diamond icon next to the %.
    The Field UI Type and Label Localization pop-up window is displayed.
  7. In the Field UI Configuration area, in the Field UI drop-down list, select ComboBoxUI.
  8. In the Localize Field Captions area, change the % caption to By.

  9. Click Save.
  10. Click Close Window at the top-right corner of the window.
  11. In the Mass-Edit Criteria window, click OK.
  12. Click Close Window at the top-right corner of the window.
  13. Select Turn OFF config mode from the Options drop-down list.
