Changing the root password

The default root password for the clock is !nf0r@T5. This section outlines the procedure to change the default password of the clock if the default password does not meet your requirements.

There are two high-level steps required for the process of changing the root password on all clocks:

1. Create a new shadow file that contains the encrypted password. See Creating a shadow file.
