Swipe Sharing Guidelines

When enabling the swipe sharing feature, the following guidelines must be followed:

  1. The swipe export process should be running on every clock. For more information on Clock Server Process Threads, see Infor Workforce Management Clock Server Guide.
  2. The swipe export thread should be set to execute every 2 minutes at minimum. For more information, see Exporting Swipes.
  3. When in use, break length validation should be configured identically for all clocks configured for swipe sharing. For more information on configuring validations, see Infor Workforce Management Clock Server Guide.
  4. The existing Clock Transaction Data purge policy must be enabled and an appropriate Aging Days - For Purge Only value set. The Clock Transaction Data purge policy can be found in the WFM application in Maintenance > System Administration > Archiving > Archiving Policy. For more information on configuration, see "Modifying archiving policy definitions" in Infor Workforce Management Tools Administration Guide.
  5. After enabling and configuring the Clock Transaction Data purge policy, you must create a job scheduler task for the archiving policy that you created in the previous step. For more information on how to do this, see "Scheduling archiving jobs" in Infor Workforce Management Tools Administration Guide.
