Migrate the Data

These options can be used to migrate data:

By selecting the Compare and Migrate action and completing the entire process from beginning to end.
By selecting the Run Migration File action to copy the exported data from the migration or export file to the destination database. You must have write access to the destination database in order to run the migration or export file.
By importing an encrypted migration file through the Import Migration File maintenance form on the WFM application server that is connected to the destination database. This option should only be used in environments where the Migration Tool cannot be used to perform the data import due to access restrictions on the destination database or security requirements.

Note: Migration files are created from the Compare and Migrate action while export files are created from the Specify and Export action. Both files contain the same type of information and are created for the same purpose - to store source data so that it can be transferred to the destination database - so the terms migration file and export file can be used interchangeably.
