Batch Approvals screen

The following is a sample Batch Approvals screen listing Trade Shift With Self requests:



Requests that are displayed on the Supervisor’s Batch Approvals screen are also displayed in the Supervisor’s Workmail Inbox. The Inbox allows a Supervisor to approve or decline each request individually instead of using Batch Approvals. However, Supervisors can configure the system through the WFM Registry, to display Batch Approval requests only in the Batch Approvals screen and not in their Inboxes. The Batch Approvals screen displays these fields:

  • Interactions

    This field drop-down list includes all of the employee request types that can be batch approved (that have been marked as Batch Approvable by an Administrator and have at least one field marked as Batch Approvable. See Configuring a form to be Batch Approvable and Specifying field controls for the Batch Approvals screen.

  • Yes, I accept

    This field is the “approve” field. The Supervisor selects this check box to approve the employee’s request. The name of this field is specified in the workflow for the request type. See Customizing the Workflow Nodes. This default field is always displayed on the Batch Approvals screen regardless of the request type.

  • No, I do not accept

    This field is the “decline” field. The Supervisor selects this check box to decline the employee’s request. The name of this field varies. The field name is specified in the workflow for the request type. See Customizing the Workflow Nodes. This field is a default field that is always displayed on the Batch Approvals screen regardless of the request type.

  • Create Date

    This value is generated by the system when a user submits a request. This field is a default field that is always displayed on the Batch Approvals screen regardless of the request type.

  • Create Time

    This value is generated by the system when a user submits a request. This field is a default field that is always displayed on the Batch Approvals screen regardless of the request type.

  • Request-Specific fields

    In the example above, the Request Date, Start Time, End Time, Payback Date, EmpName, Substitute, Location, Department, and Seniority Date fields are specific to the Trade Shift With Self request. When the Administrator set up this request form to be Batch Approvable, the Administrator selected these specific fields to be displayed on the Batch Approvals screen. These fields vary with each request type. See Specifying field controls for the Batch Approvals screen.
