Calculation group changes

Changes to calculation groups, such as modifying applied rules, can require the recalculation of employee records. For example, making a change to the parameters of the daily overtime rule so that employees earn overtime after working nine hours instead of ten, can trigger the recalculation of employee records.

You can configure the recalculate task to recalculate the records of any employees in calculation groups that have been changed.

The task determines which calculation groups have changed by checking the CALC_GROUP_AUDIT table. This relies on auditing calculation group definitions and rule changes, which is controlled by registry parameters.

To recalculate employee records based on calculation group changes, you must enable calculation group auditing. See Enabling calculation group auditing.
