Troubleshooting

If the rule does not initially act as expected:

  • Check that the TZ_ID values that are specified in the Is Employee Property Generic Condition match the values found within the database. (To confirm, run the query SELECT * FROM TIMEZONE).
  • Check that the rule is positioned correctly within the calculation group configuration (the execution point). The recommended position is "After Clocks Applied".
  • If the results are different than expected, then check for other rules and data events that may be affecting the final results. Try configuring the rule in a calculation group by itself to see if the results vary.
  • Are you testing the rule using raw clocks? The rule only applies on days where clocks have been processed onto a timesheet as part of the clock processing task. Days with clocks that were created using manual overrides are not currently eligible for the premium, although enhancing the rule to honor these clocks is on the product roadmap.
