Job Scheduler

The Job Scheduler runs automated tasks within Workforce Management at specified times or time intervals and lets you run unscheduled tasks manually on demand. Examples of scheduled tasks include importing data hourly or sending Workmail alerts to supervisors daily. You can define various tasks in the Job Scheduler for different modules and schedule when and how often the system runs these tasks.

The Job Scheduler service is started independently from the application and runs tasks outside of the application server. The Job Scheduler service, application server, and tasks communicate using the database and function separately.
