Supported browsers

The current release supports these browsers. The supported operating system for all browsers is Microsoft Windows 10.

Infor acknowledges that browsers often update automatically. However, the certified versions of browsers that are listed in this document are the versions that were tested for this release.

Note: The WFM application cannot be used in multiple tabs or windows of the same browser instance. Using WFM in this way is not supported.
Browser Details
Microsoft® Edge Apply all Microsoft hot fixes. The version of the browser that was used to test this release was version 41.16299.1480.0.
Note: The Workforce Management application also supports using Edge Chromium version 83.0.478.61. However, Edge Chromium is not currently officially supported by IBM Cognos Analytics.
Mozilla® Firefox®, most recent stable version. Every effort is made to test and support the most recent version of this browser as of the release date for Infor Workforce Management. The version of the browser that was used to test this release was version 72.0.2.

Google Chrome™, most recent stable version Google Chrome applies updates automatically.

Every effort is made to test and support the most recent version of this browser as of the release date for Infor Workforce Management. The version of the browser that was used to test this release was version 79.0.3945.130.

Chrome is the recommended browser to use to access the screens in the MVS module. Chrome has the best performance when displaying the MVS screens compared with the other supported browsers.

Microsoft® Internet Explorer® version 11.

Note: Infor highly recommends avoiding use of this browser due to display issues with the MVS module. Other parts of the application also perform sub-optimally when using this browser.
The support for this browser is limited to applet display only. General usage with the Workforce Management application is not supported due to display issues. See Note 6 below for more information on displaying applets in Workforce Management using this browser.
Apple® Safari® version 12.2 Safari 12.2 is only certified for use on Mac OS X. Mac OS X only supports Safari.

Notes

  1. These platforms are eligible for “Supplementary Third-Party Vendor Update Support”. See Supplementary Third-Party Vendor Update Support.
  2. Third party extensions are not supported. Some third party extensions create significant performance problems.
  3. Adobe Acrobat 7.0 or later is required to view generated PDF files.
  4. Browsers must be run at a resolution of 1280x1024 or higher.
  5. The IBM Cognos Analytics Authoring tool and Query Studio have different browser requirements than the core WFM application. See IBM’s website for information on supported browsers for Cognos Authoring and Query Studio.
  6. Chrome, Microsoft Edge and Firefox no longer run applets. For more information on running applets in the WFM application such as Form Builder and Workflow Editor, see Display Requirements for Operating System and Browser.
  7. To view the Workforce Management help, you may need to install the latest Adobe Reader plugins for your browser. In particular, FireFox may require the latest plugins for Adobe Reader. The latest plugins can be downloaded for free. See Adobe Reader’s download website at http://www.adobe.com/.

    Chrome does not support the Adobe Reader plugin as of September 2015. Therefore, you cannot view the Workforce Management help in Chrome.

  8. Changing any of the default configuration or registry settings to increase the amount of data that is displayed to the user may slow the responsiveness of the system.
