Amazon Corretto 8 support

The Amazon Corretto 8 distribution of Java is now supported for the Clock Server, Administration Console and the Virtual Clock.

As of January 2019, Oracle no longer provides free security updates to Java 8, and you may incur a licensing cost if you are using Java in a commercial environment.

As a result, Amazon Corretto 8 has been certified and tested for use with the Clock Server, Administration Console and the Virtual Clock. Amazon Corretto is a free distribution of Java.

The installers for these products also require Java and Amazon Corretto 8 has been tested and certified for use with the installers for the Clock Server, Administration Console and the Virtual Clock.

See the topics in Platform section of the release notes for more information on the specific JDKs that are supported for the components in your technology stack.
