Directionless and Swipe and Go swipe types

Directionless and Swipe and Go swipe types are now supported by the 8000 Series Clock.

Directionless swipes are interpreted by the WFM application as either IN or OUT clock punches. The clock punch is based on the order in which they occur. The first directionless swipe type for a shift is considered an IN clock punch. The next swipe type is an OUT clock punch. The swipe types alternate when more than a pair of directionless swipe types is received.

Swipe and Go swipe types act like directionless swipes. They are interpreted by the application as either IN or OUT clock punches, based on the order in which they occur. The main difference between directionless and swipe and go is speed. Swipe and Go is intended to speed up the clock IN/OUT process by only requiring the employee to swipe a badge. Swipe and Go is most effective in this respect when no PIN or Biometric authentication is configured, otherwise the employee has to stop and provide this authentication.

See "Swipe Methods" in 8000 Series Clock System Administration Guide.
