Schedule Period View

The Schedule Period view is a high-level representation of the schedule period currently retrieved. You can view at a glance single-week or multi-week schedule periods, to determine scheduling status and needs. Brief details of each employee, such as scheduled times, availability, and vacation, are shown in one consolidated view.

Employees are displayed under their teams (home and temporary - regardless whether or not they are currently scheduled to work for that team), grouped by day part, scheduled team, and job assignment. If multiple teams with different day part sets are selected, employees are displayed under scheduled team, day part, and job.

Floating of employees across teams is supported, meaning employees can be displayed under multiple day parts, multiple teams and multiple jobs.

This view displays the total weekly employee scheduled hours for the currently retrieved schedule period. Total daily hours are also displayed at the day part, scheduled team, and job assignment level.

Employees are displayed under all day parts within which their scheduled shifts fall. When Shift Offset feature is enabled, shifts fall under day parts to which the non-offset part of their shift belongs.

Shift cell indicators help identify various employee states:

Cell Indicator Meaning
A Indicates availability defined using the RTSS or the Availability Management module.
U Indicates an unassigned shift.
f Indicates employees that have been floated to another team and is displayed in the employee's home team. The employee's home team is displayed in brackets beside the employee's name when the employee is floated.
Absence Time Codes Indicates an employee's absence with the specific absence time code in the cell. The font color is determined by the color set on the time code.
On-Call Time Codes Indicates on-call shifts (a shift containing a time code defined in the xe "OC_TCODE_NAME" OC_TCODE_NAME parameter and/or an activity defined in xe "OC_ACT_NAME" OC_ACT_NAME parameter) are displayed with the specific on-call time code in the cell.

You can configure all of the time codes and activities appearing within the legend using the LEGEND_TCODE_DISPLAY and LEGEND_ACT_DISPLAY parameter. For information about registry parameters, see the Registry Parameter Reference Guide.

Availability, unassigned and float indicators are configured using Config Mode.
