Date Range

You can copy a single shift’s details to a specific shift or to a series of shifts within a date range. This date range can extend beyond the currently-loaded schedule period. Details can only be selected if both the start and end time are also selected.

If the employee detail is not selected to be copied, the date range feature can be used to create a range of unstaffed shifts. While unstaffed, this range of shifts can have other details set for them, such as activities, start/end times, labor metrics, and so on. The employee’s default labor is used to fill the details of an extended shift, such as activity, docket, project and so on.

While the date range feature allows you to create a range of unstaffed shifts, the copy feature will not copy details into pre-existing unstaffed shifts, such as the ones created with the batch process. If you use the date range feature and unstaffed shifts already exist, you must manually clean up the schedule.
