Loading Schedules

Before you can analyze and edit a schedule, you have to retrieve the schedule for a specified team and schedule period using the Navigation panel.

When loading a schedule, the system retrieves the staffing requirements, the employees where the home team or temporary team matches the selected teams and all schedule details for these teams and their associated schedule period.

To load schedules:

  1. Select a date within the schedule period you want to view using the Select Date calendar.
    The schedule period loaded is determined by the teams that you select in Step 3 because each team is assigned to a schedule period.
  2. Expand the Teams list to show all available teams you have permission to work with by clicking Team Root.
    The Teams list shows the teams you are authorized to view and edit based on your security team settings, thus, you can only load teams that you have the rights to view and edit.
  3. Select the check box beside the teams that you want to work with.
  4. Select the Include sub-teams check box to include sub-teams (of the selected teams) in the schedule.
  5. If you have previously created manual unstaffed shifts, you can reconcile them with your staffing requirements by selecting the Reconcile Unstaffed Shifts check box.
    The Reconcile feature is helpful when absences are created outside of MVS and need the resulting unstaffed shift(s) to be reconciled and re-created. For more information, see Unstaffed Shift Reconciliation.
  6. Click Load Schedule.
The schedule is displayed in the Schedule panel for the specified schedule period and teams.
