Managing on-call shifts in Relief Management

Employees can book time off on days that they have been scheduled to be on-call, resulting in on-call time that needs to be backfilled.

Note: You cannot split a relief shift that contains on-call time.

When searching for employees to assign a relief shift in the Employee Pool section of the Relief Calling Area, you can quickly identify employees that have on-call shifts:

  • A hollow phone icon indicates employees scheduled with only on-call time.
  • A filled phone icon indicates employees scheduled with on-call and work time.

The phone icons are also displayed in the Relief Calling Area to identify relief shifts with on-call time and in the Relief Queue to identify unassigned shifts with on-call time.
