Key Performance Indicator panel

The Key Performance Indicator (KPI) panel displays coverage and productivity information for all units loaded in the Schedule Zone. A table is displayed to present the KPI measurements for each unit. Each row in the table represents the KPIs for a single day part. A hyphen is displayed when a KPI measurement is not defined for the day part.

The header row displays a summary of each KPI measurement. This summary is either the average or the total of the measurement across all displayed day parts. Day parts are loaded if they overlap any time in the selected time range. An asterisk is displayed on the names of day parts that are partially included in the displayed time range.

This table lists the KPI measurements that are displayed in the KPI panel:
KPI Description Header row
Census Displays the number of patients in the unit for each day part. This information is provided by Infor Care when it is integrated with WFM.

See "Integration with Infor Care" in the Infor Workforce Management MVS Implementation and Administration Guide for details on setting up the integration between WFM and Infor Care.

Displays the average census
Scheduled Hours Displays the total hours that employees are scheduled to during each day part. For any given shift, any hours that overlap a day part are counted towards that day part. Displays the total scheduled hours
Hours per Patient Day (HPPD) The HPPD is a ratio of the scheduled hours divided by the census number for each day part. Displays the average HPPD
Productivity Productivity is a percentage that represents how well staff levels compare with the current workload and budget. A productivity level over 100% indicates understaffing, and a level under 100% indicates overstaffing.

Productivity is calculated by dividing the budgeted HPPD by the actual HPPD. The Budgeted HPPD is specified in the Budgeted Hours Per Patient Day maintenance form, and it defines the total budgeted number of hours for all jobs in a unit for a single 24-hour day. For each day part, productivity is calculated using this formula:

Productivity = (Budgeted HPPD * (The number of hours in the day part / 24) / HPPD for the day part) * 100%

See Budgeted HPPD.
