Schedule costing

The schedule costing information is displayed at the top of the ASV page in the Key Performance Indicators panel.

In the ASV, the combination of employee, schedule times, and activity are used to determine cost. If an employee is assigned to a shift with an activity that contributes to cost, the shift is used in the costing metrics. Cost and hours can include non-MVS shifts.

When adding, deleting, or modifying a shift that has an activity contributing to cost, the schedule cost can be updated based on the employee's pay rate and the pay rules associated to the employee. A visual update indicator is displayed while costs are recalculated.

Note: The MVS_PAY_RULE_BASED_SCHED_COST_CALC registry parameter determines the service that is used for costing calculations.

If an employee is assigned to a shift with an activity that does not contribute to cost, the shift is not used in the costing metrics. Unassigned shifts also do not contribute to schedule cost.
