Configuring Mobile Shift Offer

The Mobile Shift Offer feature allows schedulers to offer employees an open shift through text message (SMS), phone call (IVR), or email. Open shifts can be sent from the Advanced Scheduling View, the Staffing Center, or the Relief Queue. Employees can then respond to claim the shift.

By default, Mobile Shift Offer uses the third-party Vortex service, which provides the infrastructure used to contact employees by SMS, IVR, or email. The authentication information provided by Vortex must be entered into the WFM application to enable this feature. The contact information used to contact employees about shift offers is specified in the employee profile. This chapter describes how to configure WFM to enable the Vortex service.

Optionally, Mobile Shift Offer can be configured to use a custom service. This is done by implementing the Mobile Shift Offer service callout.
