Key Components

These components are used with drivers:

Name
The unique name for the driver.
Store
The location for the driver. This lookup only allows you to select a store.
Team
An appropriate team for the driver.
Volume Type
The parameter for tracking business volume for the driver.
Location Type

Forecast Group

Forecast Method

The forecast method used to determine how staffing requirements are met. (Staffing requirements are determined for each job in a forecast, using each interval of each day for a location.) The options are:

  • None, where no forecast method is used.
  • Linear Regression, where results from a historical period are used to forecast a future period using a linear regression algorithm with data from a user-defined date range.
  • Inherited, where the forecast is inherited from another location.
  • Trend of Historical Averages, where data from the previous 8 weeks of actual data is compared with the same weeks last year to calculate a day-by-day or year-over-year trend. This trend is then applied to the actual results from the forecast period last year.

If there are six or more days of data available within the eight weeks, the highest week and the lowest week are dropped during the calculation.

Forecast Interval
The forecast interval that specifies how time is allocated during forecasting. The options are: Daily, 60, 30, 15, 10 or 5 minutes.
Sales Based
Indicates whether or not the driver has sales-based distribution.
<Day of the Week> Distribution
The name of the distribution to use on that day.
External ID
The identifier for the driver used by an external system.
