Language Packs

This chapter describes how to load and apply language packs. You must be able to install fix packs to work with language packs.

To install language packs, use:

  • SQL scripts to prepare the application.
  • The Dataloader to install the translated XML application data.

Installing language packs involves these tasks:

  1. Configure the application for multi-byte (UTF-8) characters.
  2. Load language packs.
  3. Activate data localization.

This information is prepared and loaded:

  • Language IDs
  • Locale IDs
  • Data localization values
  • Error messages
  • Fields
  • System messages
  • Form Builder reports and forms

Each language folder contains the files with a timestamp and test track number preceding the file name in the format of YYYY-MM-DD_TT#####_<FILENAME>.xml.
