Defining reasons

The application includes a configurable set of reasons that schedulers must select from when a schedule change falls below a defined threshold. Examples include act of God, employee requested, low sales volume, and so on. Each reason indicates whether the employee is due a premium or whether the premium is waived.

  1. Select Maintenance > Schedule Settings > Fair Scheduling > Reasons.
  2. Click Create New Entry.
  3. Specify this information:
    Name
    Specify the nature of the reason.
    Description
    Optionally, specify a description for the reason.
    Is Waiver
    Indicate whether the employee is due additional payments when this reason is selected. Only reasons that do not have this flag selected will generate premiums.
  4. Click Save.
