Defining the geolocation of a team

On the Team Coordinates page, you can define, refine, or view a team's defined geolocation.
  1. Select Maintenance > Security > Team Security > Team Coordinates.
  2. Select a team from the Team lookup and click Go.
If this team is inheriting a geolocation from a team higher in the hierarchy, the inherited geolocation is displayed in the Inherited section and shown on the map on the right side of the page. You can redefine the team's geolocation in the This Team section.
  3. Click the new row icon in the This Team section to define or redefine the team's geolocation.
  4. Specify this information:
    Latitude
Specify the latitude of the team's precise location, for example, 40.740927.
    Longitude
Specify the longitude of the team's precise location, for example, -73.994664.
    Pad
Specify the radius of the geofence in meters, for example, 50.
    This Team Only
Select this option to prevent this team's geolocation from being inherited by child teams. Child teams of this team can inherit a geolocation from a team higher in the hierarchy.

You can delete the geolocation defined for this team by selecting the Delete option. When deleting a team's geolocation, the team inherits the geolocation of a parent team, if defined.

  5. Click Save. The Final section displays the final coordinates and radius that apply to this team. The Defined on column shows whether the geolocation is defined on this team or inherited from a team higher up in the hierarchy. On the right side of the page, the map shows the final applicable coordinates of this team and the defined geofence around this point.
