Mass-Editing Data on the Worksheet

You can simultaneously edit data on the Worksheet for locations under a parent location that meet specific criteria. This is useful if a budget manager is responsible for plan data:

• for all departments of a certain type, such as TVs, under a parent location
• for all stores of a specified size, such as 50,000 square feet, under a parent location

You can use the mass-editing feature to simultaneously update information on the Worksheet for these locations.

Mass-editing data always updates data for the selected time period displayed on the Worksheet.

You can change values for multiple locations:

• by a fixed percentage (% Change)
• by adding or subtracting the same value to multiple locations (Value Change)
• by adding or subtracting a value that is then proportionately distributed among a set of locations in the hierarchy (Value Change Distributed)
