Setting Up the Async Task in Job Scheduler

The Async task performs all asynchronous actions. The task also updates any changes to data on the Worksheet. The task should be configured to run once every minute.

To create an asynchronous task:

  1. Select Maintenance > System Administration > Job Scheduler.
  2. Click Add Schedule.
    The Job Scheduler page is displayed.
  3. In the Task Description field, specify the name of the task.
  4. In the Task Type area, select Java Task.
  5. Select Alert Task from the drop-down list.
  6. Complete the other fields on the Job Scheduler page.

  7. Click Submit.
  8. Click OK.
    The Task Schedules page is displayed. The task you created is displayed in the list.

    The ASYNC Task has no parameters. Therefore, the Parameters button is disabled on the Task Schedules page.
