Specifying the Day to which Actuals Belong

Some businesses have shifts that start before midnight and end after midnight. Use the DAYSTART_MIDNIGHT_OFFSET registry parameter in LFSO, to specify how many minutes after midnight a shift is counted for the previous business day.

By default, the business day starts at midnight, so the default value for this registry parameter is zero. Shifts that span midnight are counted on the day they start.

You may want shifts that start shortly after midnight to be counted on the previous day. For example, to count shifts that start at 2 AM for the previous day, you specify the offset to 120 minutes.

Setting this offset value generates plan data using the business day defined by this offset value. Use the following menu path to locate the registry parameter:

Maintenance > System Administration > Registry Maintenance > system > modules > scheduleOptimization
