Authorizing employees’ availability change requests using the Availability module

The Batch Approvals section on the Approve Availability Requests page, is one way to approve employees’ availability change requests and vacation requests. For other ways, see Approving Requests.

To authorize availability change requests:

  1. Select Maintenance > Employees > Employee Availability.
  2. Select the employee for whom you want to authorize availability change requests using the Employee lookup. Only the employees to which you have access are displayed.
  3. Click Approve Availability Requests.
  4. Select Vacation Request or Availability Pattern Change Request from the Interaction drop-down list in the Batch Approvals section.
    A list of workflow nodes for which you have approval rights for the select request type is displayed in the Node list.
  5. Select the name of the role for which you want to view requests from the Node drop-down list.
    All requests of the selected interaction type that are assigned to you, are listed.

  6. Click continue button beside a request under the View Interactions column.
    The details of the request are displayed.
  7. Select the Yes option to accept the request.
  8. Specify any comments to respond to the request in the Comments field.
  9. Click Submit.
