Types of plan messages

Plan messages are specific notification events that you can configure and send to employees during the vacation planning process. These message types correspond to the main events in the vacation planning process and are configurable.


Plan message	Description
Before Vacation Planning Begins	Informs employees that vacation planning will begin soon. For example, `Vacation planning opens in {daysFromBidStart} days: {plan}`.
Beginning of Vacation Planning	Informs employees that the vacation planning window is open, and employees can submit their preferences. For example, `Vacation planning is now open: {plan}`.
Before Vacation Planning Ends	Informs employees that the vacation planning window is about to close and encourages them to submit or edit their preferences before the deadline. For example, `Vacation planning closes in {daysFromBidEnd} days: {plan}`.
End of Vacation Planning	Informs employees that the vacation planning window has closed and no further edits can be made. For example, `Vacation planning has closed: {plan}`.
Vacation Planning Awards	Informs employees that preference awards (results of vacation planning) are now available. For example, `Preference awards for {plan} are now available`.
