Changing the plan message definition

  1. In WFM, select Maintenance > Optional Modules > Vacation Planning > > Vacation Plan Definition.
  2. Click Edit beside the name of the vacation plan definition.
  3. In Plan Messages, click Edit beside the name of the plan message.
  4. In Plan Messages Definition, specify this information:
    Fields marked with an asterisk are required.
    Type
    Specify the message trigger type. This field defines when the message is sent. For example, before the vacation planning window opens.
    Enabled*
    Select this check box to enable the message. When selected, the message is sent based on the defined schedule. By default, all messages are disabled.
    Subject*
    Specify the subject line of the notification sent to employees.
    Message*
    Specify the body of the notification sent to employees.
    Legend
    Provides a reference for the parameters that you can use in the Subject and Message fields.
    • {bidEndDate}: Bidding window end date.
    • {empName}: Employee first name.
    • {daysFromBidStart}: Days from start of bidding window.
    • {planStartDate}: Vacation plan period start date.
    • {bidStartDate}: Bidding window start date.
    • {plan}: Vacation plan name.
    • {planEndDate}: Vacation plan period end date.
  5. In Message Send Parameters, specify this information:
    This section identifies when the message should be sent relative to the start of the bidding window. Fields marked with an asterisk are required.
    Day(s) from start of bidding window*
    Specify the number of days before the bidding window opens to send the message.
    Send Time*
    Specify the time of day when the message is sent. The actual sent time is based on the time zone set in the vacation plan.
  6. Click Save.
