Vacation Planning overview

Vacation planning in WFM streamlines the vacation bidding and planning process. Employees can submit preferred vacation dates for an upcoming period through a simple bidding and planning process.

During the vacation bidding window, employees submit their bids. When the window closes, all requests are processed and employees receive notifications of the results. The process uses an open approach, allowing employees to submit bids simultaneously. This approach encourages teams to coordinate vacation plans collectively, enabling collaboration and minimizing disruptions to business operations.

Employees can edit their preferences if the bidding window is open. Employees with lower rankings, whose preferences are reviewed later in the process, can submit multiple options to increase the chance of being awarded preferred vacation days. Employees can view their order when they submit their bids. For example, if there are 100 participants and the employee ranks 15th, their order shows 15/100.
