Overview

By using Vacation Planning, you can simplify vacation bidding by allowing employees to submit preferred dates. Infor Workforce Management then awards vacation time based on quotas and an automated ranking system. This process allows companies to plan vacations and other types of time off in advance through a fair and automated approach.

Before running the vacation planning process, you must define the quotas for employees that are participating in the vacation plan in order for the system to determine the number of people. Otherwise, the system cannot determine the number of people who can take time off on each day. By default, an employee who does not have a defined time off group is not awarded any time off in the vacation planning process.

The Vacation Planning module is not limited to the vacation time off type. You can use the module for all time off types.
