Customizing columns in the information grid

Customize the columns in the information grid to display the fields you need. Your column configuration is saved and applied the next time you open the information grid.

If you do not save personalization, the information grid displays these default columns:
  • Employee
  • Preferred Job
  • Home Team
  • Calculation Group
  • Pay Group
  • Employee Work Type
  1. On the Quick Views page, click the Ellipsis icon.

  3. In the Columns list, click Add to add a column.
  4. To show or hide a column, click the visibility toggle.
Note: When only one column remains visible, the toggle is disabled.

    Field
Click the database lookup and select a field from the list.
Note: When you select Time Code Hours, you must also select one or more time codes in the Time codes list to define the time aggregation. Time Code Hours displays the sum of an employee's recorded hours for the configured time codes in the date range of the loaded Quick View. The sum is rounded to two decimal places.
    Label
Specify the label for the selected field if needed. By default, this field is automatically filled based on the selected field.
Note: A Time Code Hours column displays the total of each employee's recorded hours for the selected time codes, within the date range of the loaded quick view, rounded to two decimal places. If an employee has no matching hours, the column displays 0.00. You can add more than one Time Code Hours column. You must select at least one time code before you can save.
  7. Repeat the steps to add more columns.
  8. To edit a column, select the row in the Columns list. The column configuration opens in the Details section.
  9. To remove a column, select the column and click the Trash icon.
  10. Click Save.

A confirmation message is displayed. The panel remains open, and the information grid updates after you close the panel.

To restore default information grid columns, click the Ellipsis icon and select Reset to default.
  11. Close the Personalize columns panel.

The information grid displays the saved column configuration.

Note: If you close the panel with unsaved changes, a confirmation prompt is displayed. Confirm to discard your changes, or cancel to continue editing.
