Message links and external inbox behavior
Message links in Workforce Management are clickable hyperlinks and can route users to the correct portal and the correct feature page. This section explains the routing framework, supported message types, and security permissions.
Clickable links are supported in these locations:
- Self Service Portal Messages
- Admin Portal workmail
- Notification Center or common inbox
- External email
- Workspace widgets, if applicable
Links use a routing framework that considers:
- The message type and link target
- The click source or where the user clicked the link
- The user's default portal based on security group configuration
- The user's access to the target page or portal
