Setting up a cognos mapping

Some parameters apply to multiple reports, while others are report-specific.
  1. Select Maintenance > System Administration > Toolkit > Cognos Mapping.
  2. Click Create New Entry. Optionally, to edit an existing cognos mapping, click Edit beside the report name.
  3. Specify this information:
    Report Name
    Specify the name of the report.
    Cgmap Desc
    Provide a description for the report.
    Cgmap Report Path
    Specify the full Cognos report file path.
    Maintenance Form
    Click the database lookup and select a maintenance form associated with the selected report.
    Cgmap Archive View
    Select or clear this check box to enable or disable archive view for the report.
    Cgmap Preproc Task
    Specify any pre-processing task if applicable.
    Cgmap Burst Report
    Select or clear this check box to enable or disable report distribution in separate outputs.
  4. Click Save.

Configuring the Max Employee Count hidden parameter

Hidden parameters are used for advanced report configuration and are not visible by default. They are enabled through configuration mode.

Currently, the Max Employee Count parameter is available only for the Employee Overtime Report and is used to control the number of employees included when running the report.

  1. Select Maintenance > System Administration > Toolkit > Cognos Mapping.
  2. Select a report.
  3. Click Turn ON config mode.
  4. Click the diamond icon beside Max Employee Count.
  5. In Field UI, select NumberUI. the default value is HiddenUI.
  6. Click Save.
  7. Click X
  8. Click Turn OFF config mode.
    Note: The default value in the Max Employee Count field for existing customers is -1, which means no limit is applied. For new installations, the default value is 1000, aligning with the value specfied in the MAX_NUMBER_OF_EMPLOYEES registry parameter used for timesheets.
