Configuring MVS for the Payroll Based Journal Export for CMS report

Before you can successfully generate the Payroll Based Journal (PBJ) Export for CMS report, complete all required implementation steps in this section.

These behaviors impact how hours are calculated and reported in the PBJ export:
  • The PBJ export calculates hours using a midnight cutoff.
  • The PBJ export does not split work details at midnight by default.
  • When no split is applied, hours that span across midnight are reported under a single calendar day.

To ensure accurate reporting, configure the Split Details rule to split work details at midnight. This ensures that hours worked across midnight are allocated to the correct calendar day in the PBJ export.
