Color of shift statuses

Shifts are color-coded to represent their statuses. You can configure and modify the colors assigned to each status.

If there are colors that are not available in the system, you can add them on the Colors maintenance form by navigating to Maintenance > System Administration > Colors.

As of the 2026.07 release, shift colors now display consistently on scheduling screen, such as ASV, RQ, and RCA. These includes:

Full book-off shifts show the activity code’s configured color across all scheduling screens. For example, if an activity uses red, it displays red in ASV, RQ, and RCA.
Partial book-off shifts show in turquoise, matching the standard book-off styling in ASV.
Regular shifts use the colors defined in Shift Statuses.

You can configure these settings in Scheduling > Multi-view Scheduler > Advanced Settings > ES Data Definitions > Shift Status.

Note: Timesheet screens use timecode colors, which remain independent of activity colors in scheduling. When a shift originates from scheduling, the timesheet still shows the color configured for the timecode, not the activity.
