Adding a driver to a work requirement

Adding a driver to a work requirement links forecast driver values, such as call volume or transactions, to the workload calculation for that requirement. This ensures that staffing requirements automatically reflect changes in forecasted driver values.

  1. In the Staffing Requirement page, select the edit icon of a staffing record.
  2. On the General tab, click Add driver to link the workload requirement to a driver.
  3. Select a driver from the Driver list. You can select multiple drivers to link to the workload requirement.
  4. Specify a description in the Description field.
  5. Click Add detail.
  6. Specify this information. All fields are required:
    Day part
    Select a day part. If you used start and end times for your work requirement, specify the Start and End times.
    From volume
    Specify the lower bound of the forecasting driver value range for which the workload mapping applies.
    To volume
    Specify the upper bound of the forecasting driver value range for which the workload mapping applies.
    Headcount
    Specify the number of staff required for the specified driver value range.
    Note: You can add multiple records to a driver to define a workload for different time and value ranges.
  7. Click Save.
