Validation bypass

WFM hardware clocks support an employee‑initiated validation bypass feature. When this feature is enabled for a validation, an employee can choose to bypass that validation at the clock and still submit the swipe. Each bypass decision is stored in the swipe’s extradata so that supervisors and administrators can audit the swipe later.

Without validation bypass, if a swipe violates a validation rule it is rejected at the clock, unless a supervisor uses supervisor mode to override the validation. Validation bypass provides an additional, employee‑driven path to accept the swipe while preserving an audit trail.

Validation bypass is supported for the following swipe‑level validations:
  • BreakLengthValidation
  • ConsecutiveTypesValidation
  • ConsecutiveOnValidation
  • TimeCodeValidation
  • JobValidation
  • DepartmentValidation
  • DocketValidation
  • ProjectValidation
  • SameMinuteValidation
  • SwipeOrderValidation

Supervisor mode and existing “skip in supervisor mode” behavior continue to function as before. Validation bypass is a separate mechanism and does not replace supervisor overrides.
